The 2023 Australian Dodgeball Championships

The Australian Dodgeball Championships 2023 has just come to a close, and what an event it was! With 37 teams and 4 divisions, the competition was fierce and exciting from start to finish. Over 200 athletes from Victoria, New South Wales, Western Australia, South Australia, and Queensland competed at the MSAC in Albert Park, VIC from March 10th to 12th.

The Men's Foam Division saw the Doncaster Demons take home the gold medal, with the Monash Malamutes coming in second and the Bankstown Boys taking the bronze. It was a closely contested division, with some impressive performances from all teams. The Doncaster Demons, however, proved to be too strong for the other teams and were crowned champions.


In the Mixed Cloth Division, the South Australian Serpents emerged as champions, followed by the Skye Rainbows in second place and the West Coast Panthers in third. The Serpents showed great skill and teamwork throughout the tournament, and their victory was well-deserved.


The Mixed Foam Division was another exciting division, with the Doncaster Demons once again taking home the gold medal. The Glen Waverley Gorillas finished second, while the Mosman Minotaurs came in third. The Doncaster Demons were dominant in this division, winning all their games and showing why they are one of the top teams in the country.


Finally, in the Women's Foam Division, the Sydney East Sirens were crowned champions, with the South Australian Serpents finishing in second place and the Liverpool Lightning in third. The Sirens played some excellent dodgeball and proved to be a formidable team, ultimately taking home the gold medal.


Overall, the Australian Dodgeball Championships 2023 was a fantastic event, showcasing the best dodgeball talent in the country. The standard of play was incredibly high, and all the teams should be proud of their efforts. Congratulations to all the winners and we can't wait to see what next year's championships will bring!
